McLean’s Auto Wreckers with Juraj Dolanjski
A Review by Tom Kallsen –
The morning was a little cool and overcast but that didn’t stop twenty enthusiastic members from coming out to wander through a maze of trees and wrecks. The amount of variety here is stunning. Everything from the 50’s through modern, cars, trucks, transports, busses, tractors, rust, some bicycles, parts and a motorcycle. There certainly is no lack of subjects to focus on. Many have been here so long Mother Nature is doing her best to wrap them in her embrace. One member told me they saw an Edsel. I saw what I think was an AMC Gremlin, the ultimate in “so ugly it’s beautiful”. I found a minivan that was used for newspaper delivery loaded with 2013 newspapers from Guelph. Some came to shoot rust and you can certainly find much of that here. Close ups in a series make for an interesting display. Everyone seemed to have a great time here and the weather was cooperative, warming some and no rain. If you get a chance come see for yourself.
Some of the outing participants have graciously shared some of their images with us in the outing gallery. Be sure to check out their efforts.
