Facilitator: Paul Kiely
In this workshop, we will be working with Photoshop, the “gold standard” image editing program for raster (pixel-based) images as well as vector graphics. It uses a layer-based editing system that enables image creation and manipulation. The goal of our session will be to apply a hands-on and interactive session that allows photographers to utilize the tools and capabilities that allow them to perform powerful adjustments and manipulations with relative ease. We will discuss and work with menu items, tools, settings, actions, layers, masks, brushes, and add-on panels as well as filters and plugins.
This session will appeal to any Photoshop users (or those who are interested in exploring Photoshop) who range from rookie to intermediate in their skills with the program. Although it is not a requirement, you will gain the most from this session if you arrive with a laptop computer with Photoshop installed (you may download a 30 day free trial from Adobe prior to the workshop if you don’t currently own the program). If you wish to follow along with the images I will be working on in the demonstration segment, please arrive on time and have an available USB drive slot free on your laptop.
