Clinic #1 – Selective Colour: Is a fairly simple process of photo manipulation in which you convert a photo in black and white leaving an “accent” or partial colour on a photograph or a selected area. For this assignment the maker of the image can choose the colour they wish as their “selective colour”.
Clinic #2 – Street Photography Also sometimes called candid photography is photography conducted for art or enquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents, within public places.  Street photography does not necessitate the presence of a street or even the urban environment. Though people usually feature directly, street photography might be absent of people and can be of an object or environment where the image projects a decidedly human character in facsimile or aesthetic. Framing and timing are be key aspects of the craft with the aim of some street photography being to create images at a decisive or poignant moment.  Street photography can focus on people and their behavior in public, thereby also recording people’s history.   However, street photography does not need to exclusively feature people within the frame. It can also focus on traces left by humanity that say something about life.
Clinic #3 – Birds Definition from the dictionary:  a warm-blooded egg-laying vertebrate distinguished by the possession of feathers, wings, and a beak and (typically) by being able to fly. The bird images should incorporate, quality and direction of light, composition, background. Images can be portraits of birds, birds in flight, birds in their natural environment and element.  Bird images may portray storytelling which is an important element. Storytelling is a way to express the time of the day, mood, place or activity of the bird in one photograph. Viewers should be able to picture themselves in the scene.  Birds may be in their natural environment or in controlled environments, any enclosure where subjects are totally dependent on man for food.
Clinic # 4 – Wabi-Sabi Greatness’ exists in the inconspicuous and overlooked details. Wabi-sabi is about the minor and the hidden, the tentative and the ephemeral: things so subtle and evanescent they are invisible to vulgar eyes. Wabi-sabi began to signify the beauty of the impermanent passing fragile and modest. The underlying idea became that things are more beautiful for bearing imperfections. How can we experience wabi-sabi through photography?  To embrace wabi-sabi in everyday life is to slow down to notice and appreciate the overlooked beauty of a reality that is, in so many ways.  In our photography, we can start to the shapes colours textures and patterns all around us. Stains on an old kitchen pot. Rust on a weathered gate. Muddy footprints on a wet pavement. Wrinkles on a familiar face. Withered branches under a winter sky. Can we shift our mindset to hold these sights with the same love and tenderness we normally reserve for a sunset? Wabi-sabi incorporates these traits: Humility; Acceptance; Curiosity; Simplicity and Playfulness.  For a more detailed explanation please refer to https://wearejustlooking.org/wabi-sabi-photography/
